Description

What happens:
The UI stops updating when I close the User Preference window on the X in the upper right corner while I play an animation. The CPU activity doesn't show 100% or anything, it stays at 0 for the blender.exe process. It doesn't happen in 2.5 alpha 2.

How to reproduce:
- Start Blender
- Click so that the splash screen disappears
- Play animation (ALT+A)
- Open the User Preferences Window
- Close it with the X in the upper right corner

Using the newly release 2.5 beta version (r30581), default settings.
Windows XP SP3
nVidia GeForce 7800GT (with official 197.45 drivers)

Intel quad core
NVidia 8800 GT - Driver 194.36.24 from ubuntu repos
GCC 4.4.3
Blender 2.5 r30643

Another ok on Linux (Mint, 64-bit), nVidia 256.x drivers, revision 30635.

Error confirmed on Vista x32, with nVidia 8600GT GPU.
Seems to be a windows thingy. Assigning to Andrea.

Those with linux, did you have sloppy focus for mouse enabled?

Anyway, a little bit of extra info: the mouse seems to get grabbed by an area (3dview in my case).

Not using sloppy mouse, still works ok, so doesn't seem related to that.

Forgot to mention, this was on Mac OS X, so this really seems to be a Windows issue.

Reassigning to myself.
