Broken: 2.76b

Short description of error
Using mirror modifier on a mesh with custom normal results in distorted normals on generated geometry.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open
  2. Observe strange shading on the geometry generated by the Mirror Modifier.
  3. Apply Mirror Modifier and enter edit mode to see normals on the new geometry.

Thanks for the report, but this is known limitation of clnors currently - no generative operation will work correctly with those… Not considered a bug, clnors are currently expected to be used as 'last step' of modeling process, otherwise you'll get all kind of weird effects.
