most likely an issue with your gpu drivers, try changing the selection mode in userpreferences->system.

Almost everything in the image is same in mine, I also tried to change the selection from automatic to other two options but nothing worked.
Look everything is working well. The things that are not are:-
Plane, cube, circle, uv sphere, ico sphere, cylinder, cone, grid, monkey, archimesh, archipack, single vert, and some more which all are in Mesh

don't worry, there's more we can do to see if it's your gpu drivers or not.

Download this dll and copying it so its located in the same directory as 'blender.exe' and run Blender normally. Does it still crash on selection?

(be sure to remove it after testing, cause it's a software implementation of opengl so it'll run very slow)

No change, the problem continues

Allright, not your gpu drivers! maybe a shoddy addon ruining things for you

start blender with the '--factory-startup' parameter, see if that improves things.

Sorry I didn't understand, "--factory-startup" means?? and where it is? Or, do I have to write these words somewhere or what? Pls explain!

it's a command line option, if that's too difficult, you could try File->Load Factory Settings

No change, blender again shuts down as I click on one of the mesh objects

Just to be clear, this is all i have to do to reproduce the issue right?

While I was installing blender I was having two problems (1) of msvcr120.dll file missing and (2) system does not use 3D hardware acceleration, blender requires OpenGL 2.1 support.
I did some research and it worked out.
But I think I may downloaded the files from wrong websites so, can you provide me the correct links to download these files.

the 2.79a-rc1 missed those files, but that has been addressed in the final release, just grab the 2.79a final from the website and you should be allright.

the opengl error i'm not sure of, lets just try the final and see where that gets us.

Once again I downloaded blender from the website and I don't have the msvcr120.dll problem but the OpenGL 2.1 support problem is still coming

Woohhh..it worked. Yepppiii, ? Thanks you for everything, thanks a lot

Yeah it's still running an software implementation of opengl though, it'll be *VERY* slow. Ideally you'd check what gpu you have, and if it supports opengl 2.1 install the proper drivers for it, then remove the opengl32.dll from blenders folder.
