Short description of error
Latest Build doesn’t open returning an error on Linux

./blender: error while loading shared libraries: libmvec.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This is happening for more than a week

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Start blender from console or shortcut

I'm afraid your Linux distribution is too old, the latest Blender builds require glibc 2.24 minimum. As far as I can tell Ubuntu 14.04 support has ended or will end by the time we release the next Blender version.
