Adding multiresolution mesh, subdividing, going into sculpt mode and then holding down SHIFT while sculpting causes core dump.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open a new project. Add a multiresolution modifier to the mesh.
Subdivide, then change to sculpt mode. Hold down SHIFT key while holding the left mouse button down on cube.
Segfault.

Are you building your own blender with WITH_OPENSUBDIV_MODIFIER?
(seems to be working there, cant reproduce crash)

Also cannot reproduce a crash on the current buildbot build (multiresolution modifier there seems pretty much useless though because you cannot see the subdivided mesh in sculptmode?)

Anyways, this is still WIP, so while not 100% identical, will merge into T56508 and leave for @Sergey Sharybin (sergey) to greenlight the Opensubdiv modifier...
