Description

System Information
Operating system: windows 10 pro 64 bit
Graphics card: GTX 1080 ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.8
(example: 2.79b release)
(example: 2.80, edbf15d3c044, blender2.8, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (optional) 2.79

Short description of error
when i open a 2.79 blender file with 2.8 90% of everything works save for a few custom bone shapes and textures/materials

cycles materials should always seamlessly work with EEVEE .. i can understand lighting to not always work but materials should function the same in both and look nearly identical in every situation with only the messing about with lights to match lit conditions
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

a way to replicate this is to make a scene in 2.79 with several UV mapped and textured objects (make them material heavy if possible) and then have a few of those in scene and then to open the same file with 2.8

attached should be the file i am having issues with

this particular one has an issue with the body shader even though its UV mapped properly for the exterior (i should see it work right in EEVEE as it works right in Cycles in 2.79)

I can't reproduce an issue.

Seems to work fine:

Seems to work fine:

dude

hes supposed to be green not blackish

look at the UV map for "pony2" its the green one

it should already open the uv map to that texture

in the shader option for "diffuse bits" the preview shows the green texture with shading

but does not work properly with the model in final render (EEVEE) and with viewport render

download and open the 2.79 cycles version and set that to material viewport (with blender 2.79) and see how it should look

this is how he should look

(rendered with Cycles in 2.79)

EEVEE breaks it for some reason even though its using the EXACT SAME MATERIAL)

@david law (Ponlets) Can you reproduce the issue in another (smaller) file? Or can you try to remove everything from the file that is not necessary to show the bug?

It's a problem with the boolean modifier and UVs, for which we have another report.
