Operating system: Windows 10

Blender Version
Broken: 2.79b f4dc9f9d68b

Short description of error
When use Inset Faces Depth it stretches the selection faces to width, does not preserve the inset thickness shape
I think this behavior is incorrect



Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Create Cylinder
  2. Select 4 faces
  3. Use Inset Faces Thickness and Depth

As far as I can tell, this is how it works in 2.79. Can you show more clearly what the problem is?

This doesn't appear to be a bug, but a suggestion for a feature inside the Inset tool.

The depth feature just offsets the result along the normals. What you are suggesting is a bit more advanced. Sounds like a nice idea.

It may be a good suggestion, but I'm almost certain it's not a bug.

This is a good place to start. Feature ideas should be as fully fleshed out as possible.
Describe the feature, why it would be useful, where it would be in the UI, Ect.
