Operating system: Windows 10

Blender Version

Short description of error
Sculpt Mode crashes Blender when clicking and a Multiresolution Modifier is applied to an object with particles

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Create a new object with a mesh (e.g. cubes, cones, monkeys, etc) or use an existing one in a file
  2. Create particles for it either by clicking Objects-Quick Effects-Quick Fur in a 3D view, or by adding a new particle system in the object's particles context
  3. Enter sculpt mode in that object. If the object has a texture or material that was visible in the 3D view prior to entering sculpt mode, it will now appear to have the default, matte-white material and flat-shaded faces.
  4. Click anywhere in the 3D view and Blender aborts abruptly.

Based on the attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

I think there was a similar bug report some days ago... But I can't find it right now.
