Short description of error
clicking on greyed-out displays in the n-panel of the wipe-transition (and presumably at other places as well) makes the time cursor jump to that click.

Confimed. This behaviour does indeed seem wrong, but unsure if it's technically a bug?

@William Reynish (billreynish) Question is: is this because of region overlap?

I will have to disable region overlap and axis labels in scrollbars anyway in VSE as we usually do have panels open all the time + we want our images / timeline to be 100% visible.

Turning off region overlap fixes it, yeah.
I think region overlap should be off by default. It's just causing too many problems at this point for no reason.

That's what I tought, but it's not the case.
Now I consider this to be a bug.

Moving to UI unless there is any special treatment required by VSE code.
