Short description of error
In the Blender VSE, the way to incorporate the 3D View Render was to go to Add > Scene > (select the relevant Scene). However, this option in Blender 2.80 seems to always show up blank. So, you have to first render out the 3D View images and then add them into the VSE separately (as an Image Sequence or movie).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Open Blender 2.8
Go to VSE
Go Add > Scene and see that you cannot add your Scene.

You can't add the scene that you have the active video editor in.

This is also the case in the latest blender 2.79 build.

Wait: Then how do you edit animations in sync with audio and images in the VSE?

I don't really need to do this, so I am not sure if there is workflow for this.

I got a few ideas how to do this (somehow linking actions from all scenes to VSE one, so you can see keyframes) , but I'm not really sure if such things are possible or even ideal.

Aside from the major inconvenience of having to render a Scene out into an Image Sequence before being able to integrate it into the VSE, another significant drawback is the lack of "Bullet Time". I had always used the "Speed Strip" in the VSE atop the Scene Strop to create a "Bullet Time" effect in videos. While this might still be technically possible, it would require constantly shifting back and forth between different Scenes in order to get the timing achieved properly.

I don't know why Blender would choose to offer the user fewer choices by removing the Scene Strip from the VSE, but whatever their reasons I'm all but certain the negatives outweigh the positives.

This would be much less of a pain if we could bind Scenes to Workspaces, which I hope will be possible at some point.
