Description

With any tool that uses a gizmo, it can be useful to make the Drag Action be customisable, so that you can still drag inside the viewport to box select. Many users have requested this, so adding it here.

This can only work for certain tools that include gizmos, otherwise they just cannot work.

I think it could be a good idea if there was just one "Select" entry which would respect whatever mode the select tool is set to inside the toolbar. Otherwise switching between select tool modes would then also require user to switch to that different select tool mode in each of the 4 transform tools. That could result in overwhelming micromanagement of selection behavior across every other tool in the toolbar. Or the drag action should be a global setting for all the tools, not remembered per tool.

Agreed. This should be unified across operators and the option tweak added where applicable.

This is now solved differently by being able to make Transform gizmos persistent so you can use them with the selection tools.
