Short description of error
object coordinates for texture causes blender to crash
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- go to shading workflow.
- Add any texture node Ex. Gradient texture.
- Add texture coordinate node and use object coordinates.
- Set object to any object in scene.
- crash
Note: it doesn’t crash if draw mode is set to rendered and render engine is set to Cycles
in this .blend I've set up the steps. 1, 2 & 3 simply select an object from the dropdown list on the texture coordinates node.
P.S. I have tested this on a system with these specs, Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.17134 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 419.17 , with no crash, but it still will not update in the viewport unless you use Cycles.
