Blender can't load BC7 DDS texture, creating the need to seek a conversion method before using in Blender.

Don't know blender ever supporting BC7.
This sounds like a feature request.

Bettter use rightclickselect for feature requests.

But Blender supports other DDS formats, something that I can't find a mention of in the manual, btw. It's just that, textures with this codec(BC7) don't load.

I find this strange too. From what I can see, there is some support up to dx10 (BC5).

Will open for now, in case I'm wrong.
But I 'm afraid you 'll get the same answer.

We indeed do not support the more recent DDS version. The documentation is incomplete in places, we do not consider that a bug currently.
