Short description of error
If you import an wavefront .obj file which has no faces defined,
upon import the object will not be shown.
Only after switching to edit mode, and then back to object mode, the imported object will be shown correctly.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

this obj hold a few vertices and lines
the mtl file is redundant, e.g. it is empty
