PopOS 19.04
Radeon RX 570

Blender 2.8 June 21st build 953519c641a7

When trying to rebuild proxy data the button stays highlighted for a second and then thats it, nothing else happens. This feature was previously working in the last build so it is exclusive to the June 21st build.

No steps other than trying to rebuild proxies is necessary.

Can not confirm this.

Please make sure, you follow https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/sequencer/sequencer/properties/strip_proxy_timecode.html
Even though screenshots are from 2.79 version.

If this doesn't help, please attach your blend file with single strip, that doesn't work.

I just did run into it myself. Exactly as posted.

However there seems to be some activity, get 25% CPU Usage (4 cores) and Disk i/o. However no progress bar.

It seems the proxy_50_part.avis are written now.

So maybe only the Progress bar is broken?
