Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

1-Add - Mesh - UVsphere

2-Activate wireframe in viewport overlays popover menu - geometry -wireframe

3-Sculpt mode

I am not sure it is a bug. I think it is expected because of Dynamic Toplogy creating triangles.

Should be expected when you activate dynamic topology, not before. Dyntopo is an option, you can decide to not use it at all. I often use sculpt brush to easy refine a mesh without subdivision or to make shapekeys. To have the option to see the wireframe is really handy.

Yes, the problem is that mesh becomes visually triangulated in Sculpt mode when there are no modifiers or shape keys presented on it even if you don't enable Dyntopo.
