Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

whenever I turn on Eevee render, 80% of time it crashes , also it lags heavily when I use color pallet for material colors.
and this 2.8 runs slower than 2.79 on my laptop.

Hi, the Blender version is missing from your report, are you using the second release candidate? There have been a couple of fixes regarding Intel GPUs.

Either ways, it would be really useful if you could post the exact version of your drivers; you can directly attach here the exported file you get from
Help > Save System Info inside Blender.

@Alessio Monti di Sopra (a.monti) i've experienced similar issues. My report was more complete but same issue. It renders a limited frame range then fails to render the rest correctly. T67304

@Caden Mitchell (CadenMitchell) doesn't seem that related to me, here Eevee doesn't even start plus the gpu is quite older. Both could be a driver issue, as many other reports have been in the past months, but we need the driver versions.

It used to happened to my laptop too but try 2.9 it's working fine on intel graphic 4000 now.
