Description

Hi!, I am using the latest version of Blender 2.80 RC2, and i am using the 2D animation branch. So when i work in the dopesheet, i have my layers, and sometimes i want to make a fast Double click on the visibility and the other two icons, and what it happens that activates the Rename to that layer, that if you see to rename with double click is really far. Thats really annoying, and if you make it with the right side panel layers of the Grease pencil object, this actions work properly!, double click on visibility activates and deactivates, lock works fine and onion skin aswell and the rename works fine in the name of the layer!.

This is the section that the double click on the icons activates rename.


In this section double click dosnt activate rename! :D And is the same action that in the previous example.

This is how works Dopesheet for all modes. When you double click you can rename. You can see the same function in Dopesheet for meshes, so it's not a specific GPencil issue.

@Campbell Barton (campbellbarton) @William Reynish (billreynish) @Alexander Gavrilov (angavrilov) Try to click fast in the Dopesheet view icon (meshes mode) and you will see how easy is get the rename... could/need we do something here? You decide what to do with this bug report.

I agree anim.channels_rename should only be triggered when in the right column (and not in the additional button columns)
Sidenote: keybinding conflicts with anim.channel_select_keys atm. btw.

I guess it could be made to work if we check the column returned from UI_view2d_listview_view_to_cell here...

Spoke too soon, this is all one column... Needs more work to know if we are dbl-clicking the name (or one of the buttons...)

This seems to have been fixed from 2.90 onwards.
Last version that has this issue is 2.83. I don't know which patch fixed this issue, but it can't be reproduced anymore
