Short description of error
Outliner displays non existing Screens.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
They exist in default blender workspace, however opening any editor in separate window with Shift and closing that window will create same thing, they wont be removed after saving and reopening file either.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. I think it's related to the way the Blender default document is materialized along with the migration from the 2.79 Screens concept to 2.80's Workspaces, where there's still a bit of "Screen" lingering behind the scenes. I'm not sure if the information under Screens serves any useful purpose anymore or not and it can probably be safely ignored.

Would be nice if this could get cleaned up or at least hidden away from the user.

This is not a bug really. Blender still internally uses Screens.

However, the fact that by default we include those copies of screens I think *is* a bug/mistake

Not sure about it, it would make sense if it was possible to reopen(and force close for that matter) those Screen\Window thru Outliner, but it's not possible and I'm not sure if there is even a way to do it. In my understanding once Screen\Window closed it's gone.

Screens are used *internally* still. For some reason, several Default.xxx screens were left in the default startup blend by mistake.
