Blender Version
Broken: 2.80 installer used after 2.79

Short description of error
Installing a newer version of Blender using the MSI installers clears out the settings folder for older versions of Blender from the %APPDATA% path.

Expected behavior
Leave the older settings intact. Users may want to keep the old Blender versions around.

I'm not seeing any mention of settings of appdata in that post? afaik the installer only removed what it installed, nothing more.

Yes, the issue here is only T68279: Blender MSI installers refuse to install older versions when newer exists.
