Event Timeline
The new Template for Storyboarding/animatics should include several workspaces:
- Storyboarding: The main workspace to work on the stroyboard frames. This workspace has three main editors:
- 3D viewport to work on the Grease Pencil object and other elements in the storyboard frame.
- 3D viewport on camera view and in rendered shading mode, without overlays or any other panels. Just to see the final frame result.
- Text editor to use for script/plot reference
- Other editors in the Workspace are the Outliner and properties editor for select, organize and tweaks elements and the dopesheet and timeline to work on keyframes.
- 2D Full Canvas: To draw frames in a big area.
- Video Editing: To work in the edit of the different scenes in the Blend file. For storyboarding in Blender is useful to have all the scenes in the same file and use only one of them for the edition. That's why it is crucial to have a quick way to alternate between Video Editing workspace and the Storyboarding workspace. See Tasks: T68324 and T68325
- Rendering: For render storyboard frames.
I want to propose an idea here
i want to mention something about languages of the scripts, we need to add support to write from right to left like arabic language and other spreaded languages also we now that we can make scripts as 3D object i hope that we can converge it to grease pencil directly in order to animate those scripts if we want to show those scripts in the scene ...
.... about the design i propose to have an option in outliner show what are the objects and grease pencil layers are created for each keyframe ... (that help to look for layers and GP created to tweak or change them with less time spending for looking for them )
.one other point to mention is we need to have in build modifier a switcher or a panel to change from where the build begin to build the layer ( from 1st point or from last point ..) or from both sides for other purpos (using it to fade from the center and it will the best idea if we can specify where the center point will be by tweaking a slider or sth ) and the possibility to animate that option
