@Antonio Vazquez (antoniov) This affects the top bar as well...

I cannot repoduce it on Windows. I can rename with double cilick or with Ctrl+LMB in the properties.

To rename in Popover only works Ctrl+LMBbut this is not related to GPencil or Annotations only, the issue, if exist, is with any list in popovers.

Can you do it with this blend file? For me it still takes 2 clicks (with Ctrl+LMB), either way the tool tip is incorrect then...

I'm using: blender-2.81.0-git.22cdadaa32c7-windows64

CTRL + LMB double click works fine
LMB double click doesn't work

The tooltip message do not specify CTRL

Annotations rename.blend work fine for me, i can rename Note with double click on text without Ctrl key ( i use LeftClickSelect mouse setting)
my config: linux Blender 2.80-stable AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, GTX690 2+2 GB VRam- Nvidia drivers 430.40

Have you same problem with Blender 2.80 Stable release?

Blender 2.80.75 is the latest version suggested for Windows on the site.

I can reproduce the issue in ubuntu. Double click to rename does not work. Ctrl+LMB does work.

@Jacques Lucke (JacquesLucke) It looks this is a general problem of the list, not related to Gpencil, no?

Cannot say for sure right now, but yeah, this seems to be a more general issue.

@Alexis (sch.alexis) can you find a similar problem somewhere else in Blender?

I'm currently on a business trip. I tell you that the day after tomorrow.

I use Windows 10.

@Jacques Lucke (JacquesLucke) Yes. It seem to be a global problem. I've the same problem when trying to rename Shape Keys in the shape key list. Double click on a Shape key slot using a simple scene with a few models works fine, but as soon as my scene grows to a lot of objects, I've to double click super fast to rename something. Sometimes it doesn't work.

CTRL+LBM to rename is something I didn't know before and would actually never try. This is a very custom solution to rename elements, isn't it? I don't know any other software that use CTRL+LBM to rename something... It's reserved to expand a selection list actually.

I hope it will be fixed soon, to fulfil more standards.

Best wishes
Chris
