Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.18362 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1080/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 430.86

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 75), branch: master, commit date: 2019-07-29 14:47, hash: rBf6cb5f54494e
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
In the Text Editor under View menu > Area it says that the keyboard shortcut is "Ctrl Spacebar" to Toggle Maximise Area. However this keyboard shortcut does not work in this Editor. By default this is set to Text Auto Complete in the default Blender 2.8 keymap. However even if this option is unselected in preferences the "Ctrl Spacebar" shortcut does not Toggle Maximise Area. If you use the mouse to click the option in the menu it does toggle maximise area but the shortcut won't work.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open a new session of Blender 2.8. Go to preferences and under keymap and key-bindings search for spacebar and untick the option for Text Auto Complete. Change one of the editor windows to a Text Editor. Create a new text data-block. Try the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl Spacebar" while mouse is over the Text Editor and it doesn't toggle maximise the area as stated in the menu.

If the mouse pointer is on the header, ctrl+space will maximize area. But in the Text Editor area and the Python console area, Ctrl+Space is auto complete.

OK that isn't an obvious interpretation especially since in other Editors there is no requirement to have the mouse over the Header to get the keyboard shortcut to work. Perhaps this needs to be indicated in the menu.

Thanks for letting me know Peter.

I'm sorry - I wasn't clear. I too think is a problem that the maximize short cut key does not work in all areas of Blender, as consistency across all editors is an important thing. So I think autocomplete should have a new short cut key, and maximize should have ctrl+space(everywhere in Blender), but that's not up to me.

it's a known problem, see T67213

Yeah, it's the same as T67203 / T67213.
