Short description of error
[When I hide some vertex in edit mode with command shift+h these part are directly deleted]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[select some vertex of default cube and hide other vertex with shift+h and try to exit from edit mode, the hided vertex are not only hided but even deleted]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

They are not deleted, but there is a bug atm. that these are even hidden in objectmode, see T68715
That being said, you can still get them back with Alt+H.

Since this is really the same as T68715, will merge this report...
