win 10
amd radeon
intel i5
blender 2.8 final

When selecting , set origin to 3d cursor ( for a grease pencil object , it refuses to do so ) ,

Initiliase blender , new general
Insert grease pencil object and click x axis fron view
INsert a circle , by default the origin is set to world origin
Go out of the grease pencil object and click the cursor anywhere else

Now , choose object , set origin to 3d cursor , result is that the origin is NOT set to 3d cursor
When repeating this action again ( not moving the 3d cursor ) , the grease pencil objects changes position , but will never set to the 3d cursor

I think this has been fixed in T68202
Try using the latest version from https://builder.blender.org/download/

I just tested the last code compiled and I cannot reproduce it.

Are you sure, you are using the last version?
