OpenCL tag does not appear in the blender 2.79 system preferences ?

System Information
Operating system: intel r XEON CPU E5506 2.13 GHz 8 RAM WINDOWS 10 PRO 64 BIT
Graphics card: AMD RX 480 8 GB

Blender Version
2.80 / 2.79

Short description of error
I'm trying to enable GPU rendering with blender. But, I cannot see the option for opencl. Below is my hardware description:


even the gpu-z give that my amd rx 480 is support opencl 2.0

also in blender 2.8 it writen that [[ no compatible gpus found for path tracing cycles will render with cpu ]]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

Please provide us with the driver you have installed (use Save System info from the Help menu). Can you also check that other software is finding your OpenCL ICD, if they aren't able to find it it is most likely that you haven't setup the OpenCL driver correctly.

hi about the drivers ; I use the Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.9.1-Sep7.
and other software determine same opencl that i have.

Please upload the System Info by starting blender. Go to the Help => Save System Info. and upload the generated file.

Driver version 16.9.1 is 3 years old, try installing the latest drivers.

Please attach the file created by Help > Save System Info then?

I recommend not to give public access to your computer with teamviewer like that, seems risky.

no probleme coz this computer is only for rendering
well i did but nothing happened

Help > Save System Info saves a file to disk. It then needs to be attached to the report here, so we can look at it.

maybe i did not understand the steps coz i am not good in english nor blender

We're not going to use team viewer.

In Blender, there is a Help menu which has Save System Info, which will save system information.

That would produce a file called system-info.txt, please upload that here... (you can just drag and drop that into the comment field)
