Thanks for report. Yeah that log doesn't really help.

Tried your file, could not get it to crash. What edges were you snapping specifically, or is it only randomly?

Ubuntu 18.04 build: 2.82 (sub 1), branch: master, commit date: 2019-11-20 21:25, hash: ba1e9ae4733a, type: Debug
Geforce 1080 driver version 4.5.0 NVIDIA 440.26

Trying to snap 1 to 2, sometimes just even pressing arrow crashes(currently red X arrow).

Tried everything I could think of with snapping for 15 minutes on that file with those edges, everything worked just fine. Maybe do a File->Defaults->Load Factory Settings and try again. Otherwise maybe someone on windows can test.

Then seems again it is some sort of bogus bug, if no one can reproduce then devs please close it.

Yes I see. I tried again your file but could not get it to crash. Need to get it to crash on a devs system so we can get good info. It still crashes if you do File->Defaults->Load Factory Settings? Also I see you use gizmo to move edge, does it still crash if you use "G" key to start move?

i never tend to use old startup+prefs with releases and customize my ui after fresh start(portable config, not user based). G seems not to crash it but as i am more visual user i use buttons and gizmos mostly. Can you send me full debug blender Win x64 version that has debug symbols integrated? if it is even possible?

Also cannot get it to crash.

Could we please try this with Factory Settings once (this also makes sure there is no Addon involved)?

Aeron Farax (3DUnreal) added a comment.Nov 27 2019, 7:54 PM

No addons, i mostly use out of box features and sometimes when i need addon i only temporary enable during session.

Maybe this was related to the recent fix in rB0f521ca4d9622247a740312e3e318a35c1d85aa9
Could you try again on a nightly build here.
