Ok, again, it has to do with my user prefs from 2.8. I would understand having to redo everything in the prefs from scratch in a major upgrade like stepping up from 2.79 to 2.8. But such glitches upgrading from 2.8 to the next? I mean c'mon... >:-{

Now I can't figure out how my prefs from 2.8 could possibly have caused such a glitch in 2.81? Anyway, I'm including my prefs here in hopes that maybe you could make some sense out of it.

I can select the item from the list, but for some ominous reason, the picker gives me that impertinent error :-(

Update: I reset my preferences. Loaded in only my theme and keymap and the error kept on showing. Then when I tried clicking on the picker icon with ctrl pressed, it worked. Any ideas?

I can't reproduce the problem.
More detailed step to reproduce is needed.
