Short description of error
It would appear that with vertex/edge slide, attempting to repeat them via the Edit menu doesn't do anything, while repetition works via the default Shift+R hotkey. Perhaps some other operators are also affected, encountered and tested only with slide. Could be related to T71470.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

1. Enter edit mode on the default cube.
2. Slide a vertex.
3. Verify that repeating via hotkey works (even though results can be puzzling, but that's subject to a different issue).
4. Try repeating via the Edit -> Repeat Last menu entry. Repetition will not work at all.
5. Attempt steps (2) through (4) but sliding an edge instead.
