Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
In edit mode the selected object flickers and the vertices don't appear clearly as normal. Started with this build.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Restored factory settings, enter edit mode and the default cube displays the problem.
