Short description of error
At certain camera angles the Principled Volume shader ignores polygons between the OpenVDB volume and the camera. This seems to appear if you raise the BlackBody intensity above zero. It is very rare and only at certain camera angles.

We require an example .blend to investigate the issue.

This is what I see, using 660gtx 2Gb. Driver 397.31.

Here is a BLEND and a single frame from one of the VDB sequences. Frame 97.

I can confirm, and the problem seems to be seen only on Eevee (Workbench looks ok).
But if I decrease the volume range between the Start and End, the problem seems to go away.
So I'm not sure if this is a bug, limitation or even something that could be improved.

I also think this is controlled by the range between Start and End, so .e.g. Setting these to 1m / 25m, all occlusions seem to work without sorting problems.
So unless @Clément Foucault (fclem) has objections, I think we need to close this report.
Thx reporting anyways!
