Short description of error
Blender crashes after adding texture in a node tree with open button. I noticed that it doesn't happen if I just drag-n-drop texture in shader editor. It writes Segmentation fault or Buffer overflow depending of debug option I use. I tried all experimental versions and bug still exists there as well. The last version of blender where everything are stable is 2.80rc3 (from official site).
After a while I tried to install blender 2.82a from arch repository to test and it is actually not crashing. So it only affects steam version and blender from official site.
I want to confirm that crashes occur on arch repository version too. It just takes longer time.
I'm not sure if I should write about this bug here so it can be something with my OS.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- Open blender default scene
- Go to a Shading tab
- Add a texture with Image Texture node using Open button
