Short description of error
The selection of edge(s) or face(s) is not highlighted in edit mode.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open Blender version 2.9Alpha or 2.82a.
Add mesh cube object.
Switch to edit mode. Box select the entire object or at least two vertices.
Switch between vertex, edge and face selection mode.
In versions higher than 2.81a, neither the selected edges or faces are highlighted in edit mode.

I am unable to reproduce this issue on my computer.
Have you tried updating your GPU drivers (I believe this is your GPU ) but you may want to use this page to pick your GPU: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Have you also tried loading factory defaults by selecting from the top of Blender "File>Defaults>Load Factory Settings".

I updated GPU drivers and it seems to solve the problem.

Marking as resolved as a GPU driver update seemed to have fixed the issue.
