Description

latest Blender Version of Steam

Windows 10 Enterprise

MSI NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super Gaming X TRIO

latest Blender Version of Steam

I have the problem that every time I save a project and open Blender the next day, it is extremely slow and you can't work with it.
If it gets stuck, you click on it and it gets stuck again, but is about to crash.
Rendering is also not possible anymore, because it simply gets stuck after a few frames. Today I noticed that Evee doesn't work anymore, that means everything stays white, even when I render a picture.
In the task manager blender is almost not used to full capacity.

FYI: I save all my files on a synology and have had no problems with the.

Save the project and reopen it on the next day

We need an example .blend file to investigate this, otherwise it's too hard to guess what in the .blend file might be causing problems.

Sorry I was busy the last days, but here is my blender file. I can't even work anymore on it, the same with all the other projects..

@Tim Amsler (euli) This sample file is too big. Can you try to strip file down by removing objects while the issue is still there?

Hi Richard

You can close the ticket.
I hadn't the problem the last weeks, I don't know the exactly solve. I will create another ticket again when the issue is back.

Thx!

Nevermind, I have downloaded the file.

Problem is that there are too many cubes (300K) so I would expect this to be a bit laggy. You can either display particles in viewport as points, which are pretty similar to cubes or reduce amount of objects in viewport from 0 to 100%.

Does this change help with rendering as well? if not please provide more details, on what frame rendering is stuck? is it still same frame? how many frames you can render? what frame are you starting from? Ideally we need to identify bug as quickly as possible. If we need to wait 3h for result, not many bugs would be resolved :)

Also how much RAM do you have?

Hi Richard

Sorry for the late answer, you can close the ticket now. I could render it finish after some tries.

For me it was a very funny thing, because I actually built a new powerful gamer computer and I noticed it in another project.

Thx Tim!
