Description

System Information
Operating system: Darwin-18.7.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M OpenGL Engine NVIDIA Corporation 4.1 NVIDIA-12.0.24 355.11.10.50.10.103

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.82 (sub 7), branch: master, commit date: 2020-03-12 05:06, hash: rB375c7dc4caf4
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
With principled volume node connected to world output, the eevee render becomes corrupted, weird colors etc.
The problem will go away if I disconnect the volume from the world output and reconnect (sometimes). Disconnecting and reconnecting several times usually gets rid of the problem temporarily, but then it will randomly corrupt again and I have to disconnect/reconnect.

Sometimes it does this...

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Disconnect and reconnect the 'Volume' from Principled Volume to World Output 'Volume' (click and hold without releasing the mouse while disconnecting and re-connecting). It happens at other times, but that's the easiest way to make the issue occur. I tried disabling Eevee options that I enabled, but seemed to make no difference. I tried to make it happen with a simple cube, but was not able to. I am very new to Blender, so I apologize if this is user error, but the randomness makes me think it's not. Thanks for your help making such a great program!

I'm unable to replicate the issue in Blender 2.82a with a GTX 1050ti with driver 440.82 on Linux.

Are you able to test somethings for me:

  1. Test Blender 2.83 and 2.90 to see if your issue has been fixed: https://builder.blender.org/download/
  2. Ensure you're using the latest GPU drivers. And if you are, do a clean install if them: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Unable to reproduce on Windows 10.

I tried all of the above, without any change to the issue.
Installed updated cuda driver.
Installed 2.83 and 2.90 and opened the file in each (same issue).
