Caused by rB47c6f41b8926: Fix T77564: VSE (and compositor background) lost stereoscopy preview

Short description of error
Blender crashes when opening a different scene as a strip in VSE editor. Also crashes if you try to open a blend file that uses a scene as a strip in the VSE editor.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

  1. Open a default startup Blender file.
  2. Open up the Video Editing workspace
  3. Create a new scene, can do new, copy settings, doesn't appear to matter.
  4. Shift+A in the sequencer
  5. Scene->Scene (Or whatever your default scene name is)
  6. Crash

Nevermind, the issue is still present in master. @Clément Foucault (fclem) this should be reverted in master too in my opinion.

I am confused, how can this be reverted in 2.90 while still happening in master? 2.90 was merged to master since.
