Short description of error
Whenever I try to switch to Eevee whether as render or material preview viewport display blender suddenly quits provided that there's at least one object in the scene (this doesn't happen in an empty scene)
Reverting to the default settings this happens in an empty scene when Cycle is the render engines
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open blender with default settings and the default cube and switch to Material Preview
Delete the Default Cube and repeat
Switch to Viewport render with Cycles in an empty scene
