Short description of error
There are no add-ons available except for Cycles.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I started up blender 2.90 for the first time after upgrading from 2.83. In the welcome splash screen I did not opt to load 2.83 settings. I went to Edit -> Preferences Add-ons in order to enable 3D Printing Toolbox. However, there were no add-ons there except fo the Cycles Render Engine. See the add-ons window screenshot.

This suggests you're not running the official build of Blender. Please try Blender 2.90 from an official source (http://blender.org/download) and report back with results.

This is likely caused by a broken build by Arch, see T80347 and the bug report for the Arch package.

@Robert Guetzkow (rjg) You are correct, it was the arch build which has even been fixed. I didn't realise I have not updated to the latest version from Arch repo. Now it works as supposed. Sorry for the false alarm.
