Description

System Information
Operating system:Windows 10
Graphics card: RTX 2070

Blender Version
Broken: 2.90
Worked: 2.83

Short description of error
When hiding vertices, edges or faces to not be affected in sculpt mode, they are still affected while sculpting because they remain as "ghost vertices" that are visible when switching back to edit mode from sculpt mode, making this method unusable.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create any object (UV Sphere, for example). Switch to Edit Mode. Select any amount of vertices and hit H to hide them. Switch to Sculpt mode and then right back to edit mode. The hidden vertices will reappear without any faces or edges, but are still affected (even if unseen) in sculpt mode.

Can confirm in 2.90, but this was fixed already in 2.91, see rBScacd57b67a15: Fix T80771: Avoid changing the visibility of loose geometry when entering…

Not sure if that fix can be part of 2.90.1, but added it to T80396: Potential candidates for corrective releases for consideration.

Will close as resolved though, please try a frash 2.91 build from https://builder.blender.org/download/ (fix is in there)
