Broken: version: 2.90.1, branch: master, commit date: 2020-09-23 06:43, hash: rB3e85bb34d0d7
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

I applied a multiresolution modifier on this mesh, and it adds geometry that I didn't sculpt on the mesh (bumps, cracks...). It isn't always symmetric, as it happened even after I made more progress in my project. Deleting a face of the mesh and recreating it is enough to generate more of that random geometry. I don't know how to reproduce the problem. Removing and reapplying the multiresolution modifier works, but all the other sculpting is lost.

Can't reproduce this problem. PLease check if this happens with build from https://builder.blender.org/download/

Hello, thank you for your interest.
I have observed this problem with Blender 2.79, 2.83 and 2.90 and 2.91.

I think I found a way to reproduce the problem:
-remove one or many faces of a mesh to create a hole.
-Apply a multiresolution modifier.
-Edit the mesh, and sculpt it.
-in edit mode, extrude the hole/create bridge loop with the same number of vertex.

In this case, you can see some part of the sculpting above is "transmitted", but in some cases it looks completely random, like this:

I can reproduce similar effect, perhaps not that bad as you show in video, but I am not sure if this is bug or limitation really. @Pablo Dobarro (pablodp606) are glitches like these expected?

Can repro for 2.93.0LTS. Unintended behavior may be?
