Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
After baking a smoke simulation between 200 and 400 frames, the files created in the cache file sometimes just disappear.
[Please fill out a short description of the error here]
- I set up a pretty simple simulation using Quick smoke and then tweaked settings per a tutorial.
- Bake simulation.
- Afterwards, I move the camera around and insert keyframes so as to make sure I get the entire simulation in the frame.
- During this process, my computer lags a bit because of size of the simulation.
- All of the sudden, it quite lagging... because the baked files have seemingly deleted themselves.
- I go into the folder one minute, and all the files are there. I go in the next minute, and they're gone, and I have to start from scratch.
7.I changed the location of the cache file from its default location a few times, but that doesn't help.
- This doesn't always happen. Just maybe 1 out of 3 times I bake the simulation.
[Please describe the exact steps needed to reproduce the issue]
[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]
