Can not reproduce on on 3.0.0 (rB62d9dabc7db4). Possibly you made some changes in keymap

Can you please try again with factory settings (File -> Defaults -> Load Factory Settings).

If that does not help then please provide userprefs located in the directory C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.0.0\config\

i do not think that this makes sense, because other nodes in gn and shader nodes i can link with "F"...Did you really try to connect to "join geometry node"?

ok, after testing a bit, there seem only "special cases" where it does not work....

sorry for my "bad" description. Now i found out. If join geometry node already has a connection like this:

and you want to join another one and select the "join " node and the new one - it won't connect, if you press "F" - of course with mouse it works.

I misread "join geometry node" as "geometry nodes" :p (my bad). Think the "F key" fails for multi inputs.
(Will check if this is expected behavior or not)

I hope it should be expect behaviour....because "join" node has only one input...so there should be no "problem" at all....hopefully...

Hi, @Christoph Duyster (LuckyChris) I have found a solution to your problem. I have created the diff D12702 and I'm waiting for review and approval but it should fix your issue.
