Blender Version
Broken: All versions tested (2.93, 3.0)

Short description of error

A number of camera markers used to switch between active cameras became 'greyed out' at random one day, so that only the ungreyed out markers still function, Blender ignores the rest of the markers and does not switch to their associated cameras at their points on the timeline. Even when the marker is highlighted the text remains greyed out.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open .blend file
  • Click green camera icon beside 'Bedroom Camera 1' to make it active (as it should be at frame 1 since it's the first camera marker on the timeline).
  • Jump to first endpoint on the timeline and the camera will automatically switch to 'Living Room Camera 1', even though its marker only starts at Frame 200 (however, it is the first ungreyed out marker so I suspect this is causing Blender to jump to it).
  • Play the timeline and you will see that the camera does not switch as expected (if at all).

You can see in the picture here how the greyed out markers look compared to the others.

This issue remains unsolved.

This is because cameras are disabled for render, these cameras don't switch even in viewport. This may be counter intuitive, but it works as designed, so I will close this report. This tracker is only for bugs.

For help using Blender, I would recommend one of the community websites: https://www.blender.org/community/
