Short description of error
Outline not aligned with image when using non-uniform aspect ratio

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open the "Video Editor" workspace and insert and scale down a strip with image (image or "color")
  • In Properties, change "Aspect" (doesn't matter what axis)

This is expected behavior, that image moves faster at this point, I can make corrections for 3.1 version.

But I see, that outline does not correspond to image which would be nice to fix in 3.0. So I will change this report to a bug. Aligning image to mouse movement in this case would be rather a feature request

I wanted to commit fix for original reported issue, but I realized quickly that it's not as easy as I originally thought, so I have created T93469. you can subscribe to that report, but will have to investigate solution and have it reviewed.
