Short description of error
[Armature refuses to adhere to settings under viewport display, specifically when checking the box 'in front' ]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
create mesh and armature
export file as fbx
empty scene and reimport file
click checkbox to display in front under viewport display

I can't reproduce the problem using the default Cube and a single bone.
Can you provide the file?

For privacy sake I merged the mesh vertices down to a box and deleted the material file, the issue still persists
