Blender Version

Worked: all previous versions

Short description of error

Viewport has strange "lens flare" like artifact see linked image. Is this in fact a bug with the viewport? If not please provide a preference to turn it off.

I believe what you're experiencing is viewport vignetting. It is part of the Blender theme. It can be disabled here:

Thanks that seems to have fixed it.

I have other issues but they look to be more on my monitor.
