Description

System Information
Operating system: Linux-5.15.6-200.fc35.x86_64-x86_64-with-glibc2.34 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 495.44

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.0 - betas and release both had this issue

Worked: probably 2.93.x though I admit I didn't test.
Short description of error
When running a 'pure' comp of an image sequence (multilayer/other exr, from blender, including denoising passes) The final composite works in preview while scrubbing (with an image viewer) , but when rendering, only the first frame is renderered. Muting the denoise fixes.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • download the attached archive; contains a blend file and a 3-frame image sequence,
  • extract, then open the blend file in blender 3.00
  • render with the denoise node muted, and the denoise node active, and compare.

(sorry I didn't report before release - I meant to but got swamped with other work)

Hmmm, could it be a graphics driver related problem? It has persisted through at least one driver update.

I wouldn't say this is driver issue. Can you upload render output here? Can you run blender with -d argument and paste console output? If only one frame is rendered, this should produce error somewhere. If not you can try rendering image sequence instead of video and check if only 1 image is created on disk.

It creates images, there's just nothing in them, I'll post the rusults and the -d output.
(It also doesn't replicate on macos for me, just on this linux box - I'll try on another when I get a chance)
