Short description of error
There is not a simple way to exclude meshes from Export as STL. Whether the mesh is flagged as hidden from viewport, disabled in renderer, both or neither, they all are included in the export.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Simply add a few meshes, toggle hide in the outliner, and export. I have included demonstration files, screenshots, and renders.
