Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R5 M335 ATI Technologies Inc. 4.5.13587 Core Profile Context 19.50.26 26.20.15026.1

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-12-02 18:35, hash: rBf1cca3055776
Worked: 2.9

Short description of error
When sculpting or modeling using my (Huion) drawing tablet, Blender will randomly change my 3d view. It moves, zooms, rotates the view to random places (sometimes really close or really far away)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
It happened on the first file I opened using the 3.0 version (I was using 2.9 before and never happened) When I pan around, rotate or zoom the 3d view while modeling or sculpting. Blender would randomly change your viewport view.

Hi, thanks for the report. Which Tablet API you're using: PreferencesInputTabletTablet API
Do you have this issue with "Windows Ink" ? (I remember reports with similar issues where Windows Ink does not cause this problem)

I have set Tablet API as automatic, should I change to windows ink?

EDIT: ok, I did change it to Windows Ink and it seems there's no issue, I tried to recreate the bug but I could'nt in about minutes, so I guess it worked! Thanks a lot, it was driving me nuts

Hi, thanks for testing.
@Nicholas Rishel (nicholas_rishel) , do we still consider them as a bug if it's working with particular tablet API?

@Pratik Borhade (PratikPB2123) We still consider bugs for a particular tablet API, until we can confirm that the cause is the tablet driver itself misbehaving. (sorry for the delayed response).

@Abraham Meza (SquidArt) from the video it looks like the jumps are always when you release input (either a button or pen contact with the screen?). Could you repeat the issue with this in mind and check if you notice a more specific trigger for this jump? Also can you run the current nightly from command line with the argument blender.exe --debug-wintab, recreate the bug, and copy the command line output here, and link the resulting paste to this report?

Recently I have been reinstall my computer and update the Huion driver that just came out on April . And the bug seems resolved, I cant reproduce the bug at the moment. (I am using blender 3.1.2 )
(Not sure how others users perform, perhaps they could try the new driver to see if this still happens.)

No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.

Thanks again for the report. If the problem persists please open a new report with the required information.
