Crash is fixed already in master branch, I'll find the commit which has fixed the crash

On master branch, crash was fixed by the commit {1850a0b2ab1230d79cc56a74e877a9b371ae3773}
@Hans Goudey (HooglyBoogly) , is it safe to backport this commit?

I think that commit is relatively safe, yeah. At least it hasn't caused any problems in 3.2.

So can I just append this commit in T96241: 3.1: Potential candidates for corrective releases?
Or you are planning for an alternative fix?
